DUSHANBE, November 21, Asia-Plus -- AgroInvestBonk has opened another four branches and two points for money transfer and credit cards services in Dushanbe.
According to the AgroInvestBonk administration the new four branches have brought a total number of the bank’s branches in Dushanbe to 10.
At present ten banks operate in Tajikistan: AgroInvestBonk, OryonBonk, SohibkorBonk, Bank Eskhata, AmonatBonk (Tajik savings bank), TojikSodirotBonk, TajPromBank, Tajikistan Development (TDB) and First Microfinance Bank. Additionally, a branch of Iran’s Terajat Bank and an office of Kazakhstan’s TuranAlemBank also function in the country.
Founded in 1992, AgroInvestBonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 57 other branches across the republic. According to Tajik central bank, the AgroInvestBonk regulative capital has amounted to 47.1 million somonis (equivalent to more than US$13 million) as of October 1, 2006. At present AgroInvestBonk’s issued capital includes 210,000 shares, valued at 21 million somonis. The face value of one share is 100 somonis.
