According to him, a re-registration campaign that was launched in August this year will last February 2007. “1,000 journalists, including 70 pensioners, have to date been reregistered with the union,” Norov said, noting that the membership fee amounts to 1.00 somoni per month. For those who join the union for the first time the first membership fee is 12.00, according to the union’s executive secretary.
