DUSHANBE, December 18, Asia-Plus - Based on current data, the gross domestic product (GDP) in Tajikistan for January-November this year has amounted to 8,272,951,100 somonis (equivalent to more than US$2.42 billion), which is 7 percent more compared to the same period of last year, the State Committee for Statistics said. 

A share of production of goods has accounted for 45.4 percent of GDP, and share of paid services to 43.9 percent.  Tax revenues have amounted to 10.7 percent of the overall income.   

Over the past eleven months, the republic has produced a total of 4.089 billion somonis worth of goods.  Compared to January-November 2005 the index of the volume of production of industrial goods has amounted to 105.6 percent.

 In January-November, of 689 industrial enterprises, 408 (59.2 percent) exceeded the January-November 2005 level.  Over the same eleven-month period, there were 208 enterprises, or 302 percent of the overall number, have not been in operation.  

Enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Energy and Industry have produced goods for a total amount of more than 347 million somonis over the past eleven months, which is 1.5 percent more than in the same period of last year.   

In January-November 2006, gross agricultural product from all categories of farms was 3.2759 billion somonis, which is 7.4 percent more compared to the same period of last year.

In the meantime, enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection have produced 495.4 million somonis worth of output over the past eleven years, which is 0.4 percent fewer than in January-November 2005.
