DUSHANBE, February 9, Asia-Plus - On Friday February 9, an awards ceremony was held in Dushanbe for the winners of the competition “Currency Trader 2006”.
The competition was conducted under sponsorship of Central Asia’s Eurasia Foundation and Tajikistan’s Central Stock Exchange. Money prizes were provided by AgroInvestBonk, Kafolat, Internet provider Tarena and MKF Networks.
According to Tajikistan’s Central Stock Exchange, the goal of the competition was to promote development of financial and currency market in Tajikistan and increase professional skills personnel working on this market.
Teams fro Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU), Tajikistan’s National University, Agriculture University, Technical University, Technological University and State Commerce University took part in the competition. The contest proved to be an important event, providing incentives for students and post-graduate students to study new educational methods related to financial and currency market.
“One of the objectives of the competition was also to promote development of tripartite relations between higher educational institutions, students and employers on the financial market,” the source said.
The competition participants in the their works touched upon related problems such as financial market, exchanging currency and foreign exchange, etc.
