DUSHANBE, February 12, Asia-Plus - On February 10, President Emomali Rahmonov hold separate talks with Syria’s Vice-President Farouk Al-Shara and Prime Minister Naji al-Itri, Abdufattoh Sharipov, a spokesman for Tajik president said.
According to him, the meetings focused on issues of expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Syria. In the course the talks it was noted that the two countries have good potentials to expand their bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, transportation and communications, light and food industries, development and processing of natural resources, tourism, as well as processing of farm produce.
The sides also pointed to the necessity of expanding education, scientific and cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and Syria.
