DUSHANBE, March 14, Asia-Plus - Japan’s Embassy in Dushanbe today handed over two minivans Gazel equipped with motopumps to the Dushanbe firefighting service.
A ceremony of the handover of the vehicles was attended by representatives from Japan’s Embassy, Tajik Ministry of Interior (MoI) and media.
Nazarboy Jangiyev, chief of the Tajik firefighting service, said in an interview with Asia-Plus that Japan’s Government is expected to hand over four other such vehicles to Tajik firefighters.
According to him, the Dushanbe firefighting service has 28 fire-engines.
