KONIBODOM, March 28, Asia-Plus - After being closed for five years, the independent TV station Anis situated in the northern city of Konibodom has reopened.
The Anis editor Zaynuddin Orifi said in an interview with Asia-Plus that the station’s activity has been suspended since December 10 2002 as the term of it broadcasting license expired. “The licensing commission of the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting granted the new license only at the end of last year,” Orifi said.
The station director general Ghulom Mahmoudov noted that they are currently carrying out work to improve the station’s activity and provide it with new equipment.
The Konibodom independent TV station Anis was established on December 23, 1992.
