DUSHANBE, April 4, Asia-Plus -- The project entitled Experimental Program of State Guarantee on Providing the Population with Medical-Sanitary Aid for 2007 was discussed at the Ministry of Health (MoH) on April 3.
The project has already been launched in four pilot districts: Danghara (Khatlon); Spitamen (Sughd), Rasht and Tursunzoda. The project was launched in these districts two months ago.
Representatives from these districts also attended yesterday’s meeting at a MoH, which also considered issues related to a progress of work of the project in the pilot districts.
Safar Sayfiddinov, the head of the MoH department for organizations of health services, said in an interview with Asia-Plus that the health authorities are currently considering the possibility of launching the project in other districts as well.
According to him, the program determines ways, volumes and conditions of providing paid and free health services.
Package of guaranteed health services and cost of health services will be considered at a government session in late April, the health official said.
