DUSHANBE, April 9, Asia-Plus -- Volunteers from Tajikistan’s Red Crescent Society (RCS) have taken training on raising awareness among the population of programs supported by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) and other partners of the RCS.
Madina Sayfiddinova, a media officers with the RCS, told Asia-Plus that during four days, some 30 volunteers and program coordinators had familiarized themselves with a progress of the implementation of programs of the RCS’ medical-social department, emergency management directorate, development department and new structure of the Society.
According to her, the training seminar, in particular, focused on the IFRC-funded programs to promote and support the dissemination of International Humanitarian Law in state institutions and society, as well as provide humanitarian and medical aid to victims of conflicts.
