DUSHANBE, April 30, Asia-Plus – Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Mustafa Mohammad Najjar heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in Dushanbe Sunday evening for a three-day visit.
At the Dushanbe airport, Iranian military delegation was welcomed by Tajik political and defense officials.
Iranian minister’s visit takes place within frameworks of Iran’s defense diplomacy and by official invitation of his Tajik counterpart, Colonel-General Sherali Khairulloyev.
The Iranian minister and the delegation accompanying him will hold talks with senior defense and political officials of Tajikistan to discuss expansion of bilateral defense cooperation as well as issues being of mutual interest.
General Mustafa Mohammad Najjar is also scheduled to meet with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and visit some military centers in Tajikistan.
