DUSHANBE, May 7, Asia-Plus - A resident of the Sughd province that has been wanted by police for drug trafficking since 2002 was detained by officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA) in Dushanbe on April 6.
The source at the counternarcotics agency said that a package containing some 7 kilograms of heroin had been confiscated from him. “Besides, three kilograms of cannabis were found in the apartment of his sister in Dushanbe,” the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the drug trafficker and an investigation is under way.
