DUSHANBE, July 20, Asia-Plus – Topical issues of the Electronic Media Licensing in Tajikistan are being discussed at an international two-day conference the opened in Dushanbe on July 19.
The conference, staged by the OSCE Center in Dushanbe together with Internews Network, Tajik Union of Journalists, National Association of Independent Media of Tajikistan (Nansmit) and other media NGOs, has brought together international and local experts, who have shared their experience with different models and discuss the problems with electronic media licensing process in Tajikistan.
The conference aims to give an overview of the current licensing situation for the important mass media sector of electronic media and work out recommendations and possible measures to support the modernization of the licensing process in Tajikistan.
