DUSHANBE, July 24, Asia-Plus — Open joint-stock company (OJSC) OqyonBonk, Tajikistan’s largest commercial bank, has provided $8.5 million in loans to commercial bank sin Tajikistan, Asia-plus has learned from Abdukholiq Butayev, the head of OryonBonk’s corporate development of directorate.
According to him, OJSC AgroInvestBonk has received a medium term $5 million loan for the period from one to two years, OJSC TojikSodirotBonk (TSB) has received a $2 million loan, and Tajikistan Development Bank (TDB) has received $1.5 million in loan.
Butayev noted that the main objective of those loans is to support monetary policy of the government and strengthen bilateral relations with commercial banks in the country.
“OryonBonk is ready to provide preferential loans to other bank s as well, but only after analysis of their balances and profit and loss reports,” he OryonBonk official said.
