DUSHANBE, August 9, Asia-Plus -- This year, selection commissions at 28 Tajik higher educational institutions have received 38,000 applications from leavers, while the institutions will accept only 28,000 students, including students taking correspondence course, Deputy Education Minister, Farhod Rahimov, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, only some 9,000 students will study in federally funded groups. He added that 969 students, including 528 young women, have been accepted to the country’s higher educational institutions by presidential quota.
In all, 78,000 students have finished high schools in Tajikistan this year.
