DUSHANBE, August 13, Asia-Plus — At the end of last week, Sharif Said, the head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), met in Dushanbe with delegation of businessmen from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The CCI press service said the delegation members had included Salim al-Shamsi, the director general of the investment company al-Doura, and Amad al-Shomeri, representing the pharmaceutical company Orbit.
During the meeting it was noted that Arab businessmen are interested in participation of implementation of hydropower projects in Tajikistan, the press service said.
Participants at the meeting also considered the possibility of establishment of joint air carriers companies in Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the CCI head outlined industrial and agrarian processing enterprises in the country as priorities for investment.
