DUSHANBE, September 3, Asia-Plus -- The government pays a special attention to development of the education sector and education reforms in the country, President Rahmon remarked at an inauguration of a new school in the Khovaron area of Dushanbe on September 1.
Hailing the results of the past academic year, the president noted that of 79,000 school leavers, more than 29,000 entered higher educational institutions and more than 2,4000 others entered colleges and vocational-technical schools.
“More than 36, 000 young specialists graduated from higher educational institutions last academic years,” Rahmon said, adding that more than 8,500 of them graduated from teachers’ training institutes.
The head of state pointed to the necessity of providing schools with enough number of teachers. He also underlined the importance of the study of computer technologies as well as the Russian and English languages
On the issues financing the education sector, the president said that more than 506 million somonis have provided this year to enhance the education sector. Further 42 millions somonis have been provided form the additional budget, according to him.
