DUSHANBE, September 6, Asia-Plus — Interior ministries of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan intend to sign an agreement on cooperation combating crime, Asia-Plus has learned at the Ministry of Interior (MoI)
Tajik Minister of Interiors Mahmadnazar Solehov is currently participating in a session of the CIS Council of Interior Ministers that opened in Baku, Azerbaijan, today.
According to Russia’s news agency RIA Novosti, Solehov noted that bilateral cooperation agreement between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan could be singed at the next CIS interior ministers’ meeting that would be held in Dushanbe.
The CIS interior ministers’ meeting in Baku is discussing issues related to measures to rise effectiveness of activity of the CIS interior ministries in addressing modern challenges and threats, as well as draft agreements on exchange of information between the law enforcement agencies, expanding cooperation in combating cyber crimes, training of personnel, etc.
