DUSHANBE October 3, Asia-Plus -- More than 8 kilograms of drugs were intercepted in an operation carried out by officers from the Khatlon directorate for combating organize crime in the Farkhor district on Monday, Asia-Plus has learned at the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The source at a MoI said that 8.1 kilograms of marijuana had been confiscated from local resident Kholboy Yorov.    

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Yorov and an investigation is under way.
