DUSHANBE , October 27, Asia-Plus -- The government has suggested that grain imports should be exempted from the value-added tax (VAT).
Speaking to journalists in Dushanbe on October 26, the Tax Committee head Hakim Soliyev said the issue is still under consideration and the tax committee had supported this proposal.
According to him, the government has proposed to exempt the grin supplies from VAT because Tajikistan produces wheat flour at the rate of 170 kilograms of flour per person a year.
