DUSHANBE, October 29, Asia-Plus -- Repair-and-renewal operations on the Chkalovsk heat station in northern Tajikistan have been completed and it will be reintroduced into operation not later than November 10, Sharifkhon Samiyev, chairman of Barqi Tojik power holding, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, the Chkalovsk heat station is capable to generate some 6 megawatt-hour of electrical power, which is quite enough to provide the northern city of Chkalovsk with electricity in the autumn-winter period.
On the Dushanbe heat station, he said that it has worked since October 10 and over the first two weeks of operation it has generated 13 million kWh of electricity and partially provided the Dushanbe population with heat.
“Last year, the Dushanbe heat station generated some 100 megawatt-hour of electricity in the autumn-winter period, while this year, it is planned to produce up to 150 megawatt-hour of electricity in the autumn-winter period.
