DUSHANBE, December 24, Asia-Plus -- On Friday December 21, Sharif Said, head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), met with visiting delegation of Iranian businessmen, press service of a CCI said.
The Iranian delegation members included Mohammad Zahedi, chairman of the company Ziggurat Pars Tejarat, Ahmad Soleimanzadeh, managing director of Ziggurat (phonetically spelled) Pars Tejarat, and Amir Khosrovi, managing director the company Shaini (phonetically spelled) Pearl.
In the course of the talks, the sides discussed issues related to cooperation in sectors like telecommunications, energy, mining, housing and road building.
The Tajik CCI head outlined hydropower, mining, housing and road building as priority areas for investment.
Sharif Said presented to Iranian businessmen CD “Directory for Foreign Investment” containing information about Tajikistan’s economy, 421 local enterprises and 176 investment projects being implemented in the country.
