DUSHANBE, January 26, Asia-Plus -- Speaking to journalists at a news conference in Dushanbe on Saturday, Deputy Finance Minister, Sherali Safarov, noted compared to 2006 budget receipts last year increased by 32.7 percent and the revenue part of the national budget for 2007 stood at 3.696 billion somonis (equivalent to more than $1 billion).
According to him, the 2007 budget receipts were overfulfilled by 501 million somonis (equivalent to $144.5 million) or 10.9 percent.
The expenditure part of last year’s budget stood at 2.322 billion somonis (equivalent to nearly $669.7 million), which is 99.4 percent of the target, the deputy minister said.
Compared to 2006 last year’s budget earmarked funds for country’s production sector 678.5 million somonis more, Safarov said.
According to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), the target on financing education, culture and sports areas was fulfilled completely and expenses on the health sector reached 98 percent of the target.
