DUSHANBE, January 29, Asia-Plus -- A number of staff changes introduced by the president at a January 25-26 government session are none other than just change of places and have not justified confidence of Tajik society which is currently in critical state, Tajik opposition Democratic (DPT) and Social-Democratic (SDPT) parties said.
Rahmatullo Valiyev, deputy head of the Mahmadruzi Iskdanrov-run DPT, in particular, noted that the president had said that he “he does not have any more personnel in his pocket.” “But it is not so,” said the DPT deputy head, “We have sufficient skilled personnel and it is just necessary to show political will to recruit them”.
According to him, this time, the government did not paid proper attention to young specialists. “Moreover, I do not see new hands in the government,” Valiyev said.
However, he hailed appointment of Sharif Rahimzoda, formerly head of the State Committee for Investment and Management of State-owned Property, to head the National bank of Tajikistan.
Valiyev was also very displeased at the fact that despite of cases of misappropriation of state funds revealed in some establishments, the president had just confined himself to rearranging officials. “Why was no one of them made answerable for that?”
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the SDPT deputy head, Mr. Amniyat Abdulnazarov noted that if work of the ministry of energy and industries, for example, was found unsatisfactory, the minister should resign.
“Moreover, if the president criticized the health minister for cases of embezzlement revealed in the work of the ministry, she [Ranokhon Abduraanokhon Abdurhmonovaor cases of embezzlement revealed in the work of the mnistry o Rudaki and a Year eration with Tajikistan.arhmonova] should have been sacked for shortcomings in her work, while she was relieved of her position in connection with transfer to other job,” the SDPT deputy head said.
