Ms Lola Kholiqjonova, editor, IWPR Dushanbe Office, said that the meeting participants had included deans of faculties of journalism and heads of journalism chairs at Tajikistan’s leading higher educational institutions as well as journalists working in accordance with international standards of IWPR.     

According to her, the meeting discussed issues related to training of journalistic personnel for local media and ways of efficient cooperation on raising professionalism of lecturers at the faculties of journalism.  

The meeting participants spoke for increasing hours of practical training and working out new teaching aids and textbooks for students with use of experience of operating media and international standards of IWPR introduced into curricula of faculties of journalism in neighboring Kygyzstan, Kholiqjonova said.
