DUSHANBE, February 6, Asia-Plus - The first edition of a new weekly Qonun va Jomea (Law and Society) has been brought out in Dushanbe.
The first edition of Qonun va Jomea , which is a mouthpiece of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), it timed to coincide with a Tajik Militia (Police) Day, which marked on February 6. This year, Tajikistan marks the 83rd anniversary of the establishment of Tajik police
By government’s resolution of November 30, 2007 the weekly was included in the structure of a MoI.
This edition, prepared for publication by known Tajik journalist Tillo Nekqadam, contains materials about history of Tajik police, interior minister’s congratulations on the professional holiday of Tajik policemen as well as official government information about a February 2 shootout in the Rasht district.
Qonun va Jomea has also a section of legal consultations.
The first edition of Qonun va Jomea has a circulation of a 7,500. The Qonun va Jomea editor is Colonel Islom Nozimov.
