DUSHANBE, February 23, Asia-Plus  -- Tajikistan and Afghanistan on Friday signed a cooperation protocol to enhance commerce cooperation, Asanali Karamaliyev, the deputy head of Tajikistan’s Camber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), said in an interview with Asia-Plus.  

            According to him, the protocol stressed the need to expand cooperation between companies of the two countries in farm produce trading. 

“Afghan entrepreneurs will be able to fill Tajik market with their products,” Karamaliyev said, noting that Afghan products would be realized at prices lower than the present prices on the Dushanbe markets.

            The protocol was inked by Asomuddin Rouziyev, the head of the Dushanbe trade and market directorate, and Mohsin Amiri, the deputy head of Afghanistan’s chamber of Commerce.  

Karamaliyev noted that Amiri heading Afghan delegation had arrived in Tajikistan several days ago.  During its stay in Dushanbe, the Afghan delegation has held a number of meetings with heads of the Dushanbe market to discuss cooperation issues.
