DUSHANBE, February 26, Asia-Plus -- Senior representatives from energy ministries of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are expected to meet in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on February 29 to discuss regional energy problems, Asia-plus has learned at the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI).
The source at a MoEI said that Nazar Ghoibov, the deputy head of the power industry directorate within the MoEI, would represent Tajikistan at the meeting in Bishkek.
Consideration of a draft quadripartite agreement on joint use of water and energy resources of the Naryn-Syrdarya basin in 2008 age will be one of major topics of the meeting. The meeting participants will also discuss mutual supply of energy resources, the source said.
