DUSHANBE, March 1, Asia-Plus -- Resident of the city of Chkalovsk has been detained in the Bobojonghafurov district on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing, according to the Drug Control Agency (DCA).
The source at a DCA said that an operation carried out by officers from the Sughd counternarcotics directorate in the Bobojonghafurov district on Febraury 28 led to the arrest of drug pusher.
The detainee proved to be resident of the city of Chkalovsk. A package of narcotic drugs confiscated from him was tested positive to heroin weighing 2.019 kilograms.
The preliminary investigation has established that the detainee was going to pack up heroin in smaller wraps for pushing in Chkalovsk, the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against and an investigation is under way.
