QUGHON TEPPA, March 3, Asia-Plus - Since March 1, the supply of daily electrical power to the Khatlon province has increased from 2 million kWh to 3.5 million kWh, according to the Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) branch in Qurghon Teppa.
The source at the Barqi Tojik branch said that electricity is mainly supplied to industrial enterprises in the province, which have stood idle since the beginning of the year.
The source added that all local cotton-ginning factories in the province now operate in full capacity.
As far as residential consumers are concerned, residents of the Qurghon Teppa region (Vakhsh Valley) of the province currently receive electricity six-eight hours per day, the source said.
