DUSHANBE, March 6, Asia-Plus -- Two students have been detained in Dushanbe on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing.
According to the Drug Control Agency (DCA), an operation carried out by officers from the counternarcotics agency in one of entertainment facilities in Dushanbe’s Zarafshon area Tuesday evening led to the arrest of two drug pushers.
They proved to be students of one of the Dushanbe higher educational institutions and 400 grams of hashish were confiscated from them.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the students and an investigation is under way, the source said.
He further added that Tajik law enforcement agencies have seized more than 562 kilograms of drugs over the first two months of this year.
