DUSHANBE, March 7, Asia-Plus -- The Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) has submitted for consideration of visiting Ukrainian delegation a number of proposals on launching joint ventures in Tajikistan, Deputy Energy and Industries Minister Mahmadsharif Haqdodov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, the ministry has prepared a number of proposals on cooperation in sectors like hydropower, light and food industries.
A MoEI, in particular, propose to launch a joint venture on the basis of open joint-stock company Transformator (transformer-producing plant) in the Khatlon province.
The ministry also offers launching a joint venture on production of agricultural machines on the basis of the Dushanbe-based Tajiktekstilmash and a joint venture on production of component parts fro small hydropower plants on the basis of Vostokredmet in the Sughd province.
All these issues will be discussed during meetings of the Tajik-Ukrainian commission for trade and economic cooperation, the deputy minister said.
