DUSHANBE, April 3, Asia-Plus -- Prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Vietnam were major topics of a meeting of the head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Odil Sangov with delegation of Vietnamese entrepreneurs led by Deputy Industry and Commerce Minister Le Zan Vin (phonetically spelled) that was held in Dushanbe on April1.
According to a CCI, the Vietnamese delegation arrived in Tajikistan to discuss expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and get acquainted with activities of Tajik ministries, organizations and enterprises.
Development of infrastructure, passenger and transit conveyances was a focus of the talks. Mr. Le, in particular, noted that Vietnam would like to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with Tajikistan in areas like agrarian, sector, trade, light industry, tourism, geological prospecting, etc.
The same day, a meeting of entrepreneurs of Tajikistan and Vietnam was held. Presentations of Vietnam’s PetroVietnam (exploration, extraction and processing of oil and gas as well as investment), VINATEA (tea exports) and Asia Silk were held on the sidelines of the meeting.
