DUSHANBE, April 5, Asia-Plus -- The government has allocated further 30 million somonis (TJS) for loaning cotton-growing farms in addition to 110 million somonis that were provided at the beginning of this year, Sharif Rahimzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), remarked at a press conference in Dushanbe on April 4.
According to him, an appropriate resolution on this subject was passed by the government in early April.
We will recall that the government allocated 110 million somonis at the beginning of this year for providing loans to cotton-growing farms. The funds have been distributed among five banks: TajPromBank; Agroinvestbonk; Orienbonk; Tojiksodirotbonk and Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank).
