DUSHANBE, April 7, Asia-Plus -- Mr. Bernhard Falk, the vice president of Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office, arrived in Dushanbe yesterday for a two-day visit. Asia-Plus has learned at the Drug Control Agency (DCA).
The source at a DCA said that the purpose of the visit is for Mr. Falk to discuss with senior representatives from the Tajik law enforcement agencies issues related to interaction between relevant structures of the two countries in combating transnational criminal groups.
Today, the vice president of Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office is scheduled to hold talks with the DCA director Rustam Nazarov to discuss the results of bilateral cooperation between the Tajik counternarcotics agency and German federal criminal police in combating drug trafficking and controlling the flow of precursors into Afghanistan as well as prospects of further expansion of cooperation in this direction, the source said.
