DUSHANBE, May 13, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon, who is currently on his official visit to Kazakhstan, today met in Astana with Mr. Aydan Karibzhanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kazakhstan’s company, Visor Holding.
According to presidential press service, Visor Holding is one of partners of Tajikistan Aluminum Company (TALCO). Visor Holding and TALCO currently implement a number of joint projects being of significant importance for Tajikistan.
In the course of the talks, Rahmon and Karibzhanov discussed issues related to cooperation between the two companies in production of alumina, coke and caustic soda, as well as funding construction of a new cement plant in Tajikistan and financing of conducting feasibility study for construction of a 1,000 MW Shurob power plant in Tajikistan and constructing it, the press service said.
The two also exchanged views on state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation.
