DUSHANBE, July 10, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A new school opened in the village of Qizil Yul, Tursunzoda district today.
The school-opening ceremony was attended by Education Minister Abdujabbor Rahmonov and Tursunzoda administrators.
According to Muminjon Abdulloyev, head of the Tursunzoda education department, School # 17 to accommodate 340 pupils has been built at the expense of the Ministry of Education (MoE), which has allocated 1.1 million somonis for construction of this school.
This school is planned to accommodate children of settlers from the Khatlon province relocated to the village of Qizil Yul, the education department head said.
