DUSHANBE, July 10, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A two-day seminar to review a system of monitoring of the poverty reduction strategy (PRS) opened in Dushanbe today.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Ghafourjon Rasoulov, a spokesman for the ministry of economic development and trade, said that the seminar is considering state of the PRS monitoring system and ways to improve it.
“This system is created in accordance with requirements of structures responsible for conducting the PRS monitoring, including the ministry’s directorate for monitoring national and regional development programs,” said the spokesman, “The seminar has given the interested sides an opportunity to review the monitoring system and determine additional requirements of clients.”
The seminar participants include representatives of relevant ministries and organizations, donors and NGOs.
