DUSAHNBE, July 14, 2008, Asia-Plus – Over the first six months of this year, the GBAO state enterprises for organization of external labor migration, Badakhshon Khorijakor, has sent 206 residents of Gorno Badakhshan for seasonal work to the CIS states, mainly the Russian Federation.
According to Qamchibek Nasillobekov, director of the Badakhshon Khorijakor, 39 persons of them will work the Russian state enterprises, while the others were provided with necessary consultations and assistance with execution of papers.
“The majority of labor migrants prefer to find jobs in the Russian Federation on their own, and therefore, very few persons apply to Badakhshon Khorijakor for help,” said Nasillobekov, adding that the region is experiencing of builders it self.
According to official data, more than 20,000 GBAO residents currently work in the CIS states.
