DUSHANBE, July 14, Asia-Plus -- Foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will meet in Dushanbe on July 25 to discuss the agenda for the regional grouping’s upcoming summit that is scheduled to take place in the Tajik capital next month.
According to the Tajik MFA, the summit is scheduled for August 28. Davlat Nazriyev, head of the MFA information department, said that the SCO foreign ministers will discuss documents that are supposed to be signed at the summit.
In the meantime, a number of bilateral documents are expected to be singed during a visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi to Tajikistan. During his stay in Dushanbe, Yang is scheduled to hold talks with his Tajik counterpart Hamrokhon Zarifi and President Emomali Rahmon. During his two-day visit the Chinese Foreign Minister will hold talks with President Rahmon and Tajik Foreign Minister Zarifi.
During visit, the Chinese minister will also discuss preparations for the upcoming official visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao before the SCO summit.
