DUSHANBE, July 25, 2008, Asia-Plus -- “Tajikistan and Uzbekistan may launch direct bus routes soon,” Minister of Transport and Communications, Abdurahim Ashour, remarked at a press conference in Dushanbe on July 24.
According to him, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) recently received a draft agreement from Uzbekistan on international automotive communication. “This document lay for fifteen years in Uzbekistan,” the minister said.
“In the near future, we will consider the draft agreement and send it to Uzbekistan,” said Ashour, “I think more than 30 bus routes will be launched between out countries after signing of the agreement.”
The minister added that no official routing communication is now between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan except transit communication.
