KHUJAND, July 29, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A group of specialists from International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is currently in Tajikistan to inspect measures taken by Tajik national air carrier, TajikAir, to ensure control over safety of lights.
According to reliable source at TajikAir, the ICAO specialists arrived in the country within the framework of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Tajik government and the ICAO on inspection of organization of control over ensuring safety of flights.
The TajikAir source noted that during their stay in Tajikistan, the ICAO experts will study the national legislation allowing the country to implement the provisions of the Convention on International Civil Aviation and some other documents related to flight safety ensuring.
“The group is studying the system of certification and constant control of personnel, flights, service life of the aircraft, safety air shipment of dangerous cargoes, as well as the system of investigation in air accidents and incidents,” the source said.
