DUSHANBE, August 11, 2008, Asia-Plus – Police in central Russia''s Ryazan Region have seized almost 5 kg of heroin from two Tajik nationals, a police source said on Sunday.
The drugs were discovered on Saturday by police during a search of a Toyota vehicle.
"During the check almost 5 kg of drugs were discovered on the driver and passenger," the source said.
An investigation is underway to establish the source of the drugs, and the detained men are being checked for links to drug trafficking networks in Russia.
