DUSHANBE, August 12, 2008, Asia-Plus  -- Russian company Tekhnomodum (St. Petersburg) intends to recruit labor migrants from Tajikistan.  A Tekhnomodum delegation led by Denis Zayats arrived in Tajikistan on August 11 for a weeklong visit.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Mr. Zayats said that they had already met with Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Subhiddin Ashourov to discuss cooperation issues.  Mr. Zayats, who is also member of St. Petersburg administration’s commission for labor migration, noted that they intend to recruit Tajik labor migrants for working with enterprises in St. Petersburg. 

“We will organize special courses here for them on improving their professionalism, raising their knowledge of the employment and legal requirements and studying the Russian language,” the Tekhnomodum official said, noting that they are expected to sign a cooperation agreement with the Tajik Ministry of Labor and Social Security.  

During their stay in Tajikistan, the Tekhnomodum representatives will take part at jab fairs in Dushanbe on August 14 and in Khujand on August 16.  

According to Zayats, Tekhnomodum has been cooperating with Tajik employment companies since April this year and 50 labor migrants from Tajikistan have been placed in jobs through Tekhnomodum.    

The Tekhnomodum delegation will leave Tajikistan on August 17.  Tekhnomodum, having a staff of 1,000, is engaged in serving different enterprises in St. Petersburg, Zayats said.
