DUSHANBE, August 13, 2008, Asia-Plus -- The British company Ernst & Young LLP will audit the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), information posted on Tajik central bank’s official website said.
According to Tajik central bank, a tender announced by the NBT for selecting an audit company to conduct a special audit of monetary indictors and separate transactions audit of the bank was finished on August 10 and Ernst & Young was selected to conduct audit in the bank in August-November this year.
The bank noted that the company had already got acquainted with the technical task of the special audit of monetary indicators developed according to the agreement between the Tajik Government, the NBT and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to CA News, Ernst & Young is known in Tajikistan with providing its services to Tajik companies and disclosing machinations in Tajik Aluminum Company (Talco). The British company also conducted consultative work with state Tajik national air carrier TajikAir.
