DUSHANBE, August 21, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Outgoing Turkmen Ambassador to Tajikistan Ahmed Gurbanov conferred here yesterday with Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi at the end of his tenure to Tajikistan, according to the MFA information department.
In the course of the talks, Zarifi highly appraised activity of Turkmen diplomat, noting that his activity promoted further expansion of mutually beneficial economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Tajik minister noted that Mr. Gurbanov had actively participated in arrangement of visits of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov to Tajikistan and visit of President Emomali Rahmon to Turkmenistan that were held last year.
