DUSHANBE, August 22, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Since the beginning of this year, Tajikistan’s incorporated industrial bank for reconstruction and development, TajPromBank, has provided 6.4 million somonis (TJS) in loans to support enhance of the cotton sector in the southern Khatlon province.
According to TajPromBank’s head office in Dushanbe, the bank has received 4 million somonis from the Ministry of Finance (MoF) for providing loans to the cotton-growing farms. TajPromBank has provided loans to cotton farmers at 18 percent annual interest.
Established in 1995, TajPromBank, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has 17 branches across the country.
