DUSHANBE, August 28, 2008, Asia-Plus  -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has offered making mutual settlement of accounts between member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in national currencies of the SCO states.  In this case, according to him, the major part of currency reserves of member nations of the Organization will be secure.  

Ahmadinejad remarked this while speaking at the SCO summit that was held in Dushanbe on August 28. 

According to him, the Organization could work out a long-term program for introduction of a common currency within the SCO area.  The Iranian leader noted that member states could also establish the Organization bank.  

On the long-term relationships within the Organization, to avoid the possible differences within the Organization itself he spoke for establishment of the arbitration body of the Shanghai G-6.  

Ahmadinejad pointed to the necessity of establishment of close relations and integration between the countries of the region, noting that artificial conflicts incited between neighboring countries by certain forces impede expansion of cooperation in the region.
