KULOB, August 29, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A two-day seminar on introduction of a new system of education at universities – credit education – was held in the city of Kulob on August 27-28.
The seminar participants included 12 lecturers from the Kulob branch of Tajik Technological University, three teachers from Kulob State University and three teachers from Qurghon Teppa Energy Institute.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, one of the seminar participants, Madisso Sadulloyev, deputy director of the Kulob branch of Tajik Technological University, said that the seminar had been conducted within the framework of the Tempus project.
According to him, four skilled specialists from Italy, Poland and Germany had conducted the seminar to train trainers for introduction of the credit education system at universities in the Khatlon province.
Sadulloyev added that the credit education system was introduced at the Kulob branch of Tajik Technological University two years ago. Over the past two years, teachers with the Khatlon branch have taken training courses in several European countries.
