DUSHANBE, September 16, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A regular session of the coordination council of heads of counternarcotics units of member nations o the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) concluded in Moscow on September 15.
Director of the Drug Control Agency (DCA), Lieutenant-General Rustam Nazarov, represented Tajikistan at this meeting that discussed measures taken by the governments of the CSTO states to illicit combat drug trafficking and organize joint operations to reveal routes and channels through which Afghan narcotics are smuggled, according to the DCA press service. The meeting participants considered issues related to exchange of information among the counternarcotics agencies.
