DUSHANBE, October 3, 2008, Asia-Plus -- An international conference on border protection issues and combating drug trafficking in Central Asia will be held in Dushanbe on October 21-22.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the MFA information department head Davlat Nazriyev said that the conference is staged by the Tajik Drug Control Agency, the European Union and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The conference participants will include delegations from countries of the European Union, Central Asia, Iran, China, the Russian Federation, the United States and Japan, the MFA spokesman said.
